Terms of Service
Effective 20 October 2026. Version 2026-10-20.1.
TCK Hub is a directory of resources for third culture kids, their families, and the people who work with them. These Terms are an agreement between you and SMCI Media LLC, a Florida limited liability company, which operates TCK Hub at tckhub.com. In these Terms, “we” and “us” mean SMCI Media LLC. By using the site, submitting anything, holding an account, or buying from the shop, you agree to them.
The short version. We list things so you can find them. We are not the people providing them, we do not vet them, and you should check anything that matters directly with the organisation.
1. What the directory is
A list of organisations, services, guides, books, communities, and events relevant to third culture kids. Some listings we add ourselves; others are submitted by the public or by the organisations themselves.
2. What the directory is not
We are not a provider of any listed service, and we are not a party to anything that happens between you and a listed organisation. A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation, an approval, or a sign of any affiliation with us.
We do not check whether a listed organisation is reputable, qualified, licensed, insured, safe, or suitable for you or your family. Several listings involve counselling, therapy, education, and services for children. Do your own checks on credentials, safeguarding, and suitability before you engage anyone.
3. What “Verified” on a listing means
TCK Hub verifies two things and only two things: that the link works, and that it leads to a genuine, TCK-related resource.
That is the whole of it. It is not a review, a recommendation, a quality check, a safety check, or a background check. It says nothing about how an organisation behaves, how good it is, or whether it is right for you. Nobody pays us for the badge, and it does not change the order listings appear in.
4. Accuracy
Listings are compiled from public sources and from submissions. Details change without our knowledge and may be out of date or wrong. Prices, availability, and services are set by the organisations themselves, not by us.
If a listing about your organisation is wrong, or you want it removed, email us and we will correct it or take it down. You do not have to give a reason.
5. Who can use these features
Anyone may browse the directory. To buy, submit, or hold an account you must be at least 18 and able to make a binding contract. If you act for a school, organisation, or company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.
6. Accounts
Some people hold a TCK Hub account to manage their own listing, events, notices, or posts. You are responsible for every person you let use your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or abuses the site or its users.
7. Submitting a resource
If you submit a listing, a calendar event, a notice, a blog post, or a file, you keep ownership of it. You give SMCI Media LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, copy, display, and edit for length and clarity what you submit; to show it on the site and in links that promote it or the site; and to let our service providers do these things for us. This license ends when the item is removed, except that we may keep copies in backups for a limited time, and keep copies to respond to a legal claim.
By submitting anything, you promise that:
- (a) you have every right and permission needed to share it;
- (b) it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- (c) it contains no names, photos, records, or other information about students or children; and
- (d) it does not pretend to be another person, school, company, or brand.
We review submissions for relevance and spam before they go live, not for quality, credentials, or safety, and we may decline or remove anything for any reason.
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email us with the details and we will remove it.
8. Acceptable use
Use the site for lawful purposes. Do not scrape it, overload it, or copy it wholesale for a competing listing service. You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the site, or use it to send unsolicited bulk messages.
Nothing submitted may contain sexual, hateful, harassing, or violent content; malware or anything harmful to a device; programs, scripts, or other executable files; or content that is illegal where it is shared.
9. Your responsibility
You use listed resources entirely at your own risk. Before you engage with an organisation, verify credentials with the issuing body, ask for references, read their own terms, and take professional advice where it matters.
10. Purchases and refunds
Titles in the shop are published by SMCI Media LLC and sold through Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and charges any applicable sales tax; the amount payable is shown at checkout. Stripe is an independent payment company. We do not see or store your card number. Upon completion of payment, a download link is sent to the email address provided, and that link remains valid for up to 25 downloads.
A purchase gives you a license to use the title yourself, with your own family, and, if you are a teacher, counsellor, or coach, with the people you work with directly. You may print copies for that use, but may not resell it, share the file with others, or post it where the public can get it.
Your download link delivers the newest version of the file. If a payment is refunded or disputed, download access to that title ends.
These are digital goods delivered immediately. Should a file prove faulty, should the download link fail, or should you be charged in error, write to info@tckhub.com within 30 days of purchase and a full refund will be issued. Refunds are not ordinarily given where a title has been downloaded successfully and is as described, save where the law provides otherwise.
Payment secures no Verified mark, no position in any listing, and no endorsement of any kind.
This section covers the titles sold in the shop. The services we provide ourselves are covered by section 11.
10a. Free downloads
Some titles, such as the Conversation Starter Pack, are free. You may use them yourself, with your own family, and, if you are a teacher, counsellor, or coach, with the people you work with directly. You may print copies for that use, but may not resell them, share the files with others, or post them where the public can get them.
You can download a free title from the site or ask us to email you a download link. The link works for a limited time and only for the files you chose. We may change or stop offering any free title at any time.
The email address you give for a download link is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.
11. Services we provide
TCK Web Services and TCK Consultation are provided by SMCI Media LLC itself, not by a listed organisation. They are quoted, invoiced, and paid separately from the shop, and the merchant of record arrangement described in section 10 does not apply to them. SMCI Media LLC is the seller of record for services and accounts for any tax due on them.
Web service plans are priced per year in United States dollars. We build a draft first and send you a private preview; up to two rounds of revisions are included, and payment falls due when you approve the finished build. Included edits run for the twelve months covered by the plan. Nothing renews automatically and no card details are stored, so a further year happens only if you ask for one.
Consultation is quoted as a flat fee before any work begins, and there is no charge unless you accept the quote.
Because you see and approve the work before you pay for it, refunds are not ordinarily given once a build has been delivered or a brief has been supplied. If we cannot deliver what we quoted, you do not pay, and anything already paid for that work is returned.
12. No warranty
The site, the shop, and our services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error free.
13. Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TCK Hub and SMCI Media LLC are not liable for any loss, damage, dispute, dissatisfaction, or harm arising from your use of this directory or from your dealings with any organisation listed on it. Nothing here is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or immigration advice.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or willful misconduct.
14. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against SMCI Media LLC arising from something you submitted, your account, or your breach of these Terms, you will defend SMCI Media LLC and cover the resulting losses, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees.
15. Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Any dispute will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida, and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
Claims must be brought individually, and not as part of a class or group action. To the fullest extent permitted by law, both parties waive the right to a trial by jury.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date before they take effect, and emailed in advance to account holders.
17. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement about the site. We may give notice by email to the address you gave us. We may assign these Terms to a successor operator of the site. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stands.
